This book contains essays from the 2024 postings of A Philosopher’s Blog. Subjects range from the ethics of trans athletes competing in sports to the metaphysics of love across the possible worlds. The essays are short, but substantial—yet approachable enough to not require a degree in philosophy.

by the way, I came across your material in 2012 through your ‘Of Tendon & Trail’, when I damaged my knee while doing martial arts. Got operated on and all ended well, but whew…. that was scary. I guess this kind of experience is something we have in common. I never did martial arts again, I felt I had learned enough anyways for the purpose of self- defence, though I continue to this day to do some shadow boxing on my own. Hope all has been well with you too.
Good to hear you recovered; I had nightmares in which my lower leg would just fall off. So, that was fun.
I’m still running; did 10 miles this morning. But I have to do all these knee exercises every day or my knee starts clicking and slipping.
Darn it, sorry to hear these things. I too have a list of “fun stuff” that happened through the years, the knee was just the beginning, we could write another book, or two. I wish you the best of health, may you run and I play music (music is my thing) until our last day.
and wow, 10 miles. You certainly are an example of resilience and high achievement, considering all you do along your philosophical writing. Hats off, sir.
What a bargain. I like to underline stuff for fast review, so I definitely prefer an ebook. Thanks.
